"The Tear"
My recent work combines different media in the form of installation
to create emotional environments.
Installation INTERSECTING SENSES is a multi-media composition
that incorporates sculpture and sound to create a meditating space
It covers over 75 per cent of the planet, and comprises 75 per
cent of the human body; water is the essential element of life. Breaking
this fragile balance would be catastrophic for our world and humanity.
The installation "The Tear", a multi-sensory sculpture project, will depict
the painful moment of encounter with the harsh reality of life.
The installation will feature a wall-mounted sculpture of an eye,
which is part of an environment as well as a self-contained, independent
object. The transformative power of the sculpture works as a disembodied
figure representing the human condition. No matter how much we try to
preserve and protect our inner world, reality finds a way to intrude and
disturb and violate it. In this piece, the teardrop is the result of this
strong emotional shock.
"The Tear" is a symbol of the catastrophic times in which we live
an attempt to externalize our inner world using the metaphor of the teardrop
to depict the spiritual nature of human existence.
